This article will explain a profit & loss statement that is useful for reviewing profit and loss data on your store.

Through this report, you can review the profit and loss data on your store. To access the profit & loss statement, please click the Reports menu and then the Profit & Loss Reports sub-menu.

To be able to access the profit & loss statement, please activate the profit & loss recording feature. To read more, read the article Cost of Goods Sold Price Settings.

In the profit & loss statement, you can change the appearance of the table based on the available report classifications. You can access the report classification by clicking on the section that we marked in the image below.

The following are the classifications of the profit & loss statement:

  • Profit & Loss Summary: summaries your profits by calculating the net sales minus the purchase cost of all products based on the time period you choose. In other words, you can conduct a shop profit review on the summary report as shown below.

  • Profit and Loss by Date: This report allows you to review your profit within 1 timeframe based on orders that occurred.

  • Profit and Loss by Product: This report allows you to review the profit per product registered on the iSeller system.

  • Inventory Cost: You can see the potential profit according to the product in the iSeller system. We created this report with the aim that you can easily review the profit per product so you know what price to sell to achieve a certain profit.

Add Dimension

Add dimension will detail the report based on additional information. The additional information referred to is the data category which becomes the new reference in the detailed report.

To add dimensions please click Add Dimension like in the picture and you will find various types of additional dimensions that we have provided.

Following are the dimensions that can be added to the profit and loss statement by date:

  • Payment Status: Specifies the status of the payment during the selected period whether the payment is paid in full / refunded / partially paid.

  • Order Status: Specifies the status of the order at the selected time period whether completed or reserved.

  • Channel: Details the sales that occurred during the selected time period whether they occurred in a POS or online shop.

  • Stores: Breaks down reports based on profit per outlet within 1 selected timeframe.

  • Cashier: Specifies reports based on the cash register used for transactions.

  • User: Breaks down reports based on cashier employees used for transactions.

  • Fulfillment Status: Breaking down the report based on transactions that have been fulfilled / not yet met / partially fulfilled.

  • Customer Name: Detail the report by adding information on the name of the customer who made the transaction.

  • Customer Country: Specifies the report by adding information on the country of the customer who made the transaction.

  • City of Customers: Breaks down the report by adding information on the city of the customer who made the transaction.

  • Customer Province: Specifies the report by adding information on the province of the customer who made the transaction.

  • Customer ID: Detailed reports by adding email information of customers who make transactions.

The following dimensions can be added to the profit and loss statement based on the product:

  • Product Type: Specifies the report by adding product type information. Product types can be added on the Product Settings page in the Organization panel.

  • SKU number: Breaks down the report based on the item SKU number added on the product settings page. To find out about the use of SKUs, please read Manage Inventory Stock.

  • Variant Title: Specifies the report by adding product variant information. The addition of product variants can be seen in the Variant Settings article.

  • Bundle Details: Break down sales data by adding a column containing details of bundled packages in the form of composite products or combo products based on related references.

  • Price: Breaks down sales data by adding a column containing selling prices based on related references.

  • Vendor: Breaks down sales data by adding a column of vendors based on related references.

  • Channel: Details the sales that occurred during the selected time period whether they occurred in a POS or online shop.

  • Outlet: Breaks down reports based on profit per outlet within 1 selected timeframe.

  • Register: Specifies reports based on the cash register used for transactions.

  • User: Breaks down reports based on cashier employees used for transactions.

  • Fulfillment Status: Breaking down the report based on transactions that have been fulfilled / not yet met / partially fulfilled.

  • Customer Name: Detail the report by adding information on the name of the customer who made the transaction.

  • Customer Country: Specifies the report by adding information on the country of the customer who made the transaction.

  • Customer City: Breaks down the report by adding information on the city of the customer who made the transaction.

  • Customer State: Specifies the report by adding information on the state of the customer who made the transaction.

  • Customer ID: Detailed reports by adding email information of customers who make transactions.

The following dimensions can be added to the potential profit report on the inventory:

  • Product Type: Specifies the report by adding product type information. Product types can be added on the Product Settings page in the Organization panel.

  • SKU number: Breaks down the report based on the item SKU number added on the product settings page. To find out about the use of SKUs, please read Manage Inventory Stock.

  • Variant Title: Specifies the report by adding product variant information. The addition of product variants can be seen in the Variant Settings article.

  • Price: Breaks down sales data by adding a column containing selling prices based on related references.

  • Vendor: Breaks down sales data by adding a column of vendors based on related references.

  • Tag: Details the product based on the associated tag.

  • Outlet: Breaks down reports based on profit per outlet within 1 selected timeframe.

Add Metric

You can also add a column containing the total calculation to the data by clicking Add Metric as shown below.

In the profit & loss statement, additional metrics are only available in the profit & loss statement by date and product. The following are detailed data metrics that you can add:

  • Gross Sales: Total gross sales (net sales plus data discounts, promotions, and refunds ) for data per date or per product within the selected time period.

  • Discount: The total discount obtained from product sales or discounts as a member of your store in the record period.

  • Promotions: Total promotion obtained from transactions in your store within 1 record period.

  • Refund Amount: Total refunds / refunds for data per date or per product within 1 selected period.
