This article will explain the product sales report which is useful for reviewing sales per product in detail in your store.

In this report, you can do a detailed sales-per-product review of your store. To access the product sales report, please click the Reports menu and then the Product Sales Reports sub-menu.

In the product sales report, you can change the appearance of the table based on the available classifications. You can access the report classification by clicking on the section that we marked in the image below.

The selected classification will later display a data reference in the form of information in the far left column. In this example, the selected report is Gross Sales by Product Type, then the reference data used in the far left column is the product title data.

The following are the classifications of product sales reports:

  • Gross Sales by Product: Sales report with reference to product name data.

  • Gross Sales by Product Variant: Sales report with reference to product variant data. To add variants to the product, please read the Variant Settings.

  • Gross Sales by Product Type: Sales report with reference to product type data.

  • Gross Sales by Collection: Report on sales with reference to collection data. To add collections to your store, please read the Introduction to Collections.

  • Gross Sales by Vendor: Sales report with reference to vendor data.

  • Gross Sales by Tag : Sales report with reference to product tag data.

Product Sales Report Data

You can see all the product sales report data on the start page as shown below.

On the sales report data page, you can see several main columns such as:

  • Orders: Total orders that have related products in the time period you selected.

  • Unit Sold: Total stock sold in the time period you selected.

  • Gross Sales: Total sales include discounts, promotions, and additional costs for related products in the time period you choose.

  • Refund Amount: The total refund (refund) including discounts, promotions, and additional fees for the related product in the period of time you choose.

Add Dimension

Adding dimensions will detail the report based on additional information. The additional information referred to is the data category that becomes the reference and / or new information in the detailed report.

To add dimensions please click Add Dimension like in the picture and you will find various types of additional dimensions that we have provided.

There are a total of 15 added dimensions that you can add to your report:

  • Product Type: Detail sales data by adding a column containing product types based on related references.

  • SKU Number: Detail sales data by adding a column containing SKUs based on related references.

  • Variant Title: Detail sales data by adding a column containing the name of the variant based on related references.

  • Bundle Details: Detail sales data by adding a column containing details of bundle packages in the form of composite products or combo products based on relevant references.

  • Price: Detail sales data by adding a column containing selling prices based on relevant references.

  • Vendors: Detail sales data by adding a column containing vendors based on related references.

  • Channel: Detail sales data by adding a column containing sales channels whether sold from a POS or an online store.

  • Outlet: Detail sales data by adding a column containing store outlets / branches based on relevant references.

  • Register: Detail sales data by adding a column containing the cash register if the relevant data is sold at the POS.

  • User: Detail sales data by adding a column containing cashier employees if the relevant data is sold at the POS.

  • Fulfillment Status: Detail sales data by adding a column containing the order fulfillment status for how many products have been fulfilled.

  • Customer Name: Detail sales data by adding a column containing the name of the customer who purchased the product.

  • Customer Country: Detail sales data by adding a column containing the country of the customer who purchased the product.

  • Customer City: Detail sales data by adding a column containing the city where the customer purchases the product.

  • Customer State: Detail sales data by adding a column containing the state where the customer purchased the product.

Add Metric

You can also add a column containing the total calculation to the data by clicking Add Metric as shown below.

There are a total of 3 metric additions that you can add to your report:

  • Discounts: Displays the total discount calculated on sales in the 1 time period you selected.

  • Promotions: Display the total promotions that are counted on sales in the 1 time period you selected.

  • Taxes: Displays the total tax calculated on the related sales data in the 1 time period you selected.
