Adjust the price according to the type of order and other conditions

In this article you will learn how to adjust prices according to order types and other conditions.

This Price Book type adjusts the price on the type of order that has been determined in your store. This type is only available if your business type is F&B or Express. The format of the price adjustment for this type is as follows.

  • Order Type: The types of orders available in your store for customizable prices.

  • Apply Adjustment For, there are two modes of choice that can be applied, namely:

    • A Specific Product, Category, and Collection : If you want to adjust the price on a specific product, category, or collection.

    • One or More Selected Products : If you want to adjust the price on more than one product or multiple products.

A Specific Product, Category, and Collection

If you select this mode, you can make price adjustments in the following ways.

  • Adjust Price : The price that will be adjusted in this Price Book Type. You can choose Adjustment by % (adjustment based on a percentage of the product's selling price), by Amount (adjustment based on a certain amount), or Special Price (change of product selling price to new price).

    • Adjust Price By % : You can directly fill in the percentage amount of the selling price of the product and the price adjustment you want to apply. If you want to reduce the price, please add (-), if you want to add the selling price of the product, it can be filled without (-).

    • Adjust Price By Amount : You can directly determine the nominal price adjustment that you want to apply. If you want to reduce the price, please add (-), if you want to add the selling price of the product, you can fill it without (-).

    • Adjust Price With Specific Amount: You can immediately change the price of the Product with the specified nominal.

  • Choose Type: The type of group that will be subject to price adjustments. You can select Products, Categories, or Collections to specify the groups you want to customize.

  • Amount : In this option, you can enter a positive value to increase the price and a negative value (-) to decrease the price. However, if you choose to adjust the price with a Special Amount you can only enter positive values.

In the picture above, the price of Matcha Tea products will be adjusted with a special price (with a specific amount) to IDR 10,000.

One or More Selected Products

There are two price adjustment options, you can do it manually with the same format as A Specific Product, Category, and Collection mode and you can do it by importing the product. For the manual method, please follow these steps.


​Step 1: Select the product you want to adjust the price for.

Step 2: Make adjustments to the format as below.

The picture above shows that the price of the Cherry Blend Tea product will be reduced by 5% from the selling price of the product.

Importing Product

If you want to adjust the price for a large number of products, you can make price adjustments in a more practical way using Product Import.

Please follow the steps below to import the product.

Step 1: You need to download a sample product import CSV file as shown below.

Step 2: You need to edit the CSV file with the products of your store that will be priced accordingly. The following is an example of a CSV file that already contains products for customizing prices.

  • SKU : Be sure to include your product SKU

  • Type : Be sure to specify the type of adjust the price which consist of

    • Percentage : You can directly fill in the percentage amount of the selling price of the product and the price adjustment you want to apply. If you want to reduce the price, please add (-), if you want to add the selling price of the product, it can be filled without (-).

    • Amount : You can directly specify the nominal price adjustment that you want to apply, either increase or decrease (with -).

    • Specific Amount : You can immediately change the price of the Product with the specified nominal.

  • Amount : In this option, you can enter a positive value to increase the price and a negative value to decrease the price. However, If you select the Specific Amount type, you can only enter positive values ​.

  • IsActive : Price adjustment status in Price Book consisting of

    • TRUE : Active product price adjustment status

    • FALSE : Inactive product price adjustment status

Step 3: Make sure the entire writing is correct and in accordance with the example. If it is confirmed correct, please save your file in CSV format.

Step 4: Then, import the product with the CSV file you saved.

Here are the results when you successfully import the product.

However, if there is an error in the settings of the CSV file when it is imported, there will be a notification like the following image.

The picture above shows that the Orange Tea product with the ORGTEAL SKU was not successfully imported because the quantity is negative (-) because it uses the specific amount type. The Specific amount type only applies to the number of positive values.

In addition to product imports, you can also export products to ensure that all products are listed in the Price Book, you can confirm this by exporting products. please select Export All Products.

You are also very likely to re-import the product if you want to update the price adjustment list in the Price Book using the file that has been exported.

The price adjustment setting according to the order type and other conditions has been completed.
