Adjust Prices for Each Product with Wholesale Price Options

In this article, you will learn how to adjust prices for individual products with wholesale pricing options.

This Price Book type adjusts the price for each product in your store with a choice of wholesale prices. The price adjustment format for this type is as follows.

Here's the explanation:

  • Select Product : The product you want to determine the wholesale price

  • Product Name : The name of the product you have selected.

  • Amount : Enter a positive value to increase the price and a negative value to decrease the price.

  • Min Qty: The minimum quantity of products that must be met to apply this type of Price Book.

  • Max Qty: The maximum quantity of the product that must be met to apply this Price Book type.

  • Active Button: If disabled, the price adjustment item will not apply to your store. You can also add multiple wholesale price tiers for 1 product manually. Please click the pencil logo as shown below.

After that, a page like the following image will appear. Please click the Add button to add some wholesale prices.

Then a list will appear for you to add a new wholesale price to the product and fill in the price adjustment.

  • Greater Than: The minimum quantity of products that must be met to apply this type of Price Book.

  • Adjustment: The price that will be adjusted in this Price Book Type. You can choose adjustment by % (adjustment based on a percentage of the product's selling price), by Amount (adjustment based on a certain amount), or Special Price (change of product selling price to new price).

    • Adjust Price By % : You can directly fill in the percentage amount of the selling price of the product and the price adjustment you want to apply. If you want to reduce the price, please add (-), if you want to add the selling price of the product, it can be filled without (-).

    • Adjust Price By Amount : You can directly determine the nominal price adjustment that you want to apply. If you want to reduce the price, please add (-), if you want to add the selling price of the product, you can fill it without (-).

    • Adjust Price With Specific Amount: You can immediately change the price of the Product with the specified nominal.

  • Amount : In this option, you can enter a positive value to increase the price and a negative value (-) to decrease the price. However, if you choose to adjust the price with a Special Amount you can only enter positive values.

After you have filled in several levels of wholesale prices for the product, please click the Ok button to save the wholesale price that you have applied. The following is the result of the price adjustment.

In the picture above, the price adjustments for Cherry Blend tea products are:

  • If the customer buys a minimum of 5 products, the price will be reduced by 5% from the selling price of the product.

  • If the customer purchases a minimum of 10 products, the price will be reduced by 10% from the selling price of the product.

Importing Product

If you want to adjust wholesale prices for a large quantity of products, you can practically do so by Importing Products via a CSV file. To be able to import, please follow these steps.

Step 1: You need to download a sample product import CSV file for wholesale prices as shown below.

Step 2: You need to edit the CSV file with the products to be customized at wholesale prices. The following is an example of a CSV file that already contains products to be customized at wholesale prices.

  • SKU : Be sure to enter your product SKU.

  • Type : Make sure to specify the type adjust the price which consists of

  • Adjust Price By % : You can directly fill in the percentage amount of the selling price of the product and the price adjustment you want to apply. If you want to reduce the price, please add (-), if you want to add the selling price of the product, it can be filled without (-).

  • Adjust Price By Amount : You can directly determine the nominal price adjustment that you want to apply. If you want to reduce the price, please add (-), if you want to add the selling price of the product, you can fill it without (-).

  • Adjust Price With Specific Amount: You can immediately change the price of the Product with the specified nominal.

  • Amount : In this option, you can enter a positive value to increase the price and a negative value (-) to decrease the price. However, If you select the Specific Amount type, you can only enter positive values.

  • Min Qty : The minimum quantity of products that must be met to apply this type of Price Book.

  • Max Qty : The maximum quantity of products that must be met to apply this type of Price Book.

  • IsActive : Price adjustment status in Price Book which consists of TRUE : Status of active product price adjustment FALSE : Inactive product price adjustment status

Step 3: Make sure the entire writing is correct and in accordance with the example. If it is confirmed correct, please save your file in CSV format.

Step 4: Then, import the product with the CSV file you saved.

Here are the results when you successfully import the product.

However, if there is an error in the settings of the CSV file when it is imported, there will be a notification like the following image.

The picture above shows that the Orange Tea product with the ORGTEAL SKU was not successfully imported because the quantity is negative (-) because it uses the specific amount type. The Specific amount type only applies to the number of positive values.

In addition to import products, you can also export products to ensure that all products are listed in the Price Book, you can confirm this by exporting products. please select Export All Products.

You are also very likely to re-import the product if you want to update the price adjustment list in the Price Book using the file that has been exported.

Price adjustment using wholesale price is complete.
