For those of you who use the WhatsApp Notification add-on to use OTP as a means of logging into your online store, you can follow the steps below to set it up.
Before starting the setup for OTP, make sure that you have installed and activated the WhatsApp Notification add-on. If not. You can see it again Introduction to the WhatsApp Notification Add-On.
User Identification Preference Setting
After activating the WhatsApp Notification add-on, you need to make settings in the online store which can be done through the following steps.
Step 1: Select the Sales Channels menu > Select the Online Store sub-menu.
Step 2: In the Checkout Preferences panel, change the User Preference Mode to Mobile Number > then Save as shown below.
If the settings are complete, the WhatsApp Notification Add-On can be used.
Display Login with OTP WhatsApp
When a customer logs in to your online store, it will look like the following image. Customers only need to login using their phone number and then enter the OTP that is sent to the customer number that is connected to WhatsApp.
When you have entered your phone number, customers will get a WhatsApp notification containing an OTP code for verification when logging in so that customers can enter your online store.
Then, when it came back to the online store. Customers need to fill in the OTP code that has been sent via WhatsApp as shown below > Sign In.
