This article explains how to import products in CSV and CSV fill formats.

This article explains how to import a list of the products that you have directly. With this feature, you can easily enter product listings from your store directly and quickly.

Please follow the steps below to learn how to import products in CSV and CSV filling formats for each type of product (Standard Products, Variant Products, Composite Products, Modifier Products, and Combo Set Products).

To import a product list, please follow the steps below.

Step 1: Please enter the Catalog menu and Products sub-menu.

Step 2: Click the Import button.

Step 3: Select the CSV file that contains the list of products that you have created by pressing the Upload File button.

You can also directly upload product photos by selecting Upload Product Images in the format of a ZIP file with a maximum size of 8MB.

Each type of product has a different format. Following is an explanation of the CSV file format for each type of product.

Standard Product Format

Standard products are products with a minimum arrangement so that goods can be directly sold at POS and Online Stores. The picture above shows the CSV format that you must fill in. The following explanation:

  • Handle: A unique name given to each product. iSeller requires a data handle as a unique code marker for storage on the system. The usual handle is filled in with the product name being lowercase and replacing spaces with dashes (-). For example Almond Layer Cake products, the handle can be filled with almond-layer-cake and the URL that will appear is https://namatoko.isellershop.com/product/almond-layer-cake

  • Name: The name of your product. Example: Almond Layer Cake, Plain Shirt, Jean Jacket, and others.

  • Description: A description or explanation of a product.

  • Barcode: The barcode of the product, the iSeller system will automatically change the code you write into a barcode that can be scanned. To print / print barcodes, please open the Product Introduction page.

  • Vendor: The vendor name of the product. Vendors can be suppliers.

  • Type: Grouping by product type. The product type affects the POS display where the same type of product will have the same marker color. Examples of filling in product types: Jackets, Snacks, Accessories.

  • Tags: Grouping products using tagging . If more than one tag is entered, please separate it with a comma (,).

  • SKU: Stock Keeping Unit that is used as a unique code collection for each product. The recommended SKU code is different for each product to facilitate data collection on the system.

  • Price: Price entered without using thousands separator. If the price entered has a cent value , it can be separated by a period (.).

  • Track Inventory: Column to determine whether you want to record the number of stocks with iSeller. Enter TRUE if you want to record your total stock and FALSE to deactivate this feature.

  • Inventory_Main_Outlet: Column to add the number of Products. If you want to add the Number of Products in Other Outlets, please add a new column next to Inventory_Main_Outlet with the format Inventory_Nama_Outlet_New. Example: Inventory_Mall_Kelapa_Gading. The word Inventory_ is a marker that marks the name of the outlet, underscore character (_) hereinafter is a substitute for the space character ().

  • Taxable: Column to determine whether the product is taxable or not. Please enter TRUE if it is taxable, or FALSE if it is not to tax the product.

  • Requires Shipping: This column is used for shipping from online stores in the form of physical goods. If the goods sold are digital code or services, there is no need to activate requiring shipping. To determine whether the product needs shipping or not. Please enter TRUE if you need shipping, or FALSE if it is not to require shipping to the product.

  • Images: The image name column is based on a .zip file that you have uploaded. If in the .zip file that you have uploaded there is a file with the name Burger.jpg, please enter Burger.jpg in the column provided.

  • Collections: Columns to group your products by collection. The collection speeds up product selection on POS tablets and makes it easy for you to find groups of products to display on a widget in an online store. Please enter the name of the collection, for example: Jackets, Smartphones, Watches, Women's Shirts, and others.

Composite Product Format

Composite products are products that contain several types of products. Composite products can be used to make products with raw materials or package products. The following are the composite product formats and their explanations.

  • Handle: A unique name given to each product. iSeller requires a data handle as a unique code marker for storage on the system. The usual handle is filled in with the product name being lowercase and replacing spaces with dashes (-). Example handle for "Mie Seafood" product is recommended to be changed to seafood or noodle-seafood.

  • Name: The name of your composite product. For example: Seafood Noodle.

  • Description: A description or explanation of a product. For example: 120 gram noodles, 2 shrimps, 2 tofu skin slices.

  • Barcode: The barcode of the product, the iSeller system will automatically change the code you write into the actual Barcode. To print / print barcodes, please open the Product Introduction page.

  • Vendor: The vendor name of the product. Vendors can be suppliers.

  • Type: Grouping by product type. The product type affects the POS display where the same type of product will have the same marker color. Example: Jackets, Snacks, Accessories, and others.

  • Tags: Grouping products using tagging . If more than one tag is entered, please separate it with a comma (,).

  • Composite Product: For composite products, this column is used to enter products included in the Composite Product and how many Standard Products are needed to make Composite Products. Examples of writing are as follows: Shrimp Vaname | 1; SLICE Tofu Skin | 0.2; Fishcake PCS | 2; Fishball per PCS | 2. The writing format is the Product Name, followed by a pipe / vertical bar (|), and the number of standard product quantities on the composite product.

  • SKU: Stock Keeping Unit that is used as a unique code collection for each product. The recommended SKU code is different for each product to facilitate data collection on the system.

  • Price: Price entered without using thousands separator. If the price entered has a cent value , it can be separated by a period (.).

Variant Product Format

Variant products are products that have one or more variations. Examples of variants are Shirt Color, Shirt Size, Taste, and others. Following is the CSV format for importing Variant Products.

From the picture above we can see a variant of the AK BUNGEE / COVER SINGLE product with Storm, Sandstone, black, and Tac OD variants. The following is an explanation of each column.

  • Handle: A unique name given to each product. iSeller requires a data handle as a unique code marker for storage on the system. The usual handle is filled in with the product name being lowercase and replacing spaces with dashes (-). Examples of handles from "AK BUNGEE / COVER SINGLE" products are ak-bungee / cover-single or you can leave it blank.

  • Name: The name of your product. Example: AK BUNGEE / COVER SINGLE.

  • Description: A description or explanation of a product. For example: AK BUNGEE / COVER SINGLE.

  • Barcode: The barcode of the product, the iSeller system will automatically change the code you write into the actual Barcode. To print / print barcodes, please open the Product Introduction page.

  • Vendor: The Vendor Name of the Product. Vendors can be suppliers.

  • Type: Grouping by product type. The product type affects the POS display where the same type of product will have the same marker color. Example: Jackets, Snacks, Accessories, and others.

  • Tags: Grouping products using tagging . If more than one tag is entered, please separate it with a comma (,).

  • Option1 Name: Writing Options / Options can only be filled with 1 value. So if you have more than 1 choice, please fill in a different column. Example: Option1 Name is filled with Color, Option2 Name is filled with Size.

  • Option1 Value: Writing Value / Variant Value can only be filled with 1 value. If your product has more than 1 value in 1 choice, please fill in a different line. Example: Option1Name with Color options and Option1 Value with Red values. On the next line Option1Name is written with Color options and Option1 Value is Blue.

Modifier Product Format

Modifier products are modifications that can be set on an F&B product. Modifier products can be in the form of additional information such as the level of meat maturity (Rare / Medium Rare / Well Done), or can also be filled with toppings at additional prices (Tea Drinks with Grass Jelly / Pearl / Coffee Jelly toppings). Here is the CSV format that you must fill in to add Product Modifier.

  • Handle: A unique name given to each product. iSeller requires a data handle as a unique code marker for storage on the system. The usual handle is filled in with the product name being lowercase and replacing spaces with dashes (-). Examples of handles from "Australian Rib Eye" Products are australian-rib-eye.

  • Name: The name of your product. For example: Australian Rib Eye.

  • Description: A description or explanation of a product. For example: 240gr beef with a choice of level of ripeness and sauce.

  • Barcode: The barcode of the product, the iSeller system will automatically change the code you write into the actual Barcode. To print / print barcodes, please open the Product Introduction page.

  • Vendor: Vendor name of the product. Vendors can be suppliers.

  • Type: Grouping by product type. The product type affects the POS display where the same type of product will have the same marker color. Example: Appetizer, Main Course, Dessert.

  • Tags: Grouping products using tagging . If more than one tag is entered, please separate it with a comma (,).

  • Modifier Group 1: Writing 1 column modifier group is grouped according to 1 modifier type. Examples of writing are as follows Doneness: Medium, 0.0000; Rare, 0.0000; Well Done, 0.0000. Writing starts with the name modifier, in this example the Doneness or maturity level is followed by a colon (:), then the modifier is followed by a comma (,) and the price is Medium, 0.00 (the price of 0 means adding the modifier does not change the price). If the modifier choice is more than 1, then a semicolon is followed and the next option is Medium, 0.0000; Rare, 0.0000; Well Done, 0.0000 (in this example there are 3 modifier choices from Doneness).

  • Price: Price entered without using thousands separator. If the price entered has a cent value , it can be separated by a period (.).
